Get your thank-you email
An email lands in your inbox confirming we received your registration. Keep it — it's your record that you're on the list.
We reach out about pickup
Once toys are sorted and we know what we can give, we contact you with where and when to come. Bring a photo ID matching the name on your registration.
Said plainly
Registering puts your children on our list. It is not a guarantee that they will receive toys. Everything we give away was donated by someone else, so how many families we can serve — and what we can give each child — depends entirely on what comes in each season.
We would rather tell you that now than have you counting on something we can't deliver. We'll be straight with you either way, and if we can't serve your family, we'll say so and try to point you somewhere that can.
Who can register
- ✓ A parent, guardian, grandparent or caregiver raising the child
- ✓ Children living in your household
- ✓ Families in the DFW Metroplex and surrounding counties
- ✓ One registration per household, please
We can't promise a specific toy. We match gifts to each child's age and interests as closely as what we receive allows.
What you'll need
- ✓ A phone number and email address we can reach you at
- ✓ Each child's first name and age
- ✓ A photo ID to show at pickup
- ✓ About five minutes
No pay stubs. No benefit letters. No case number. If you're raising a child and the holidays are tight, you belong on this list.
Questions
Before you register
Does registering guarantee my children get toys?
No. Registration puts your family on our list, and we work to serve as many families as we can. What we're able to give depends on the toys donated to us that season. We'll contact you either way.
Do I have to prove I need help?
No. This is a barrier-free program. We don't collect income information, benefit records or proof of need, and no one will ask you to explain your situation.
How old can my children be?
We register children from newborn through high school age. Teenagers are the hardest group for us to fill, so the more you tell us about what an older child likes, the better we can match.
When and where do I pick up the toys?
We set pickup details after registration closes and the toys are sorted. When your family's turn comes, we reach out with the date, the time and the address. Keep an eye on your email.
Can someone else pick up for me?
Yes, if you let us know first. Reply to your thank-you email with the name of the person picking up, and have them bring a photo ID. We can't release toys to anyone we don't have on file.
Can I register more than one household?
Each household registers separately, using the address where the children live. If you're a caseworker, shelter or church registering on behalf of several families, email toys@mnhouse.org and we'll set that up.
I registered but never got the email.
Check your spam folder first, then email toys@mnhouse.org with your name and the phone number you used, and we'll confirm you're on the list by hand.
What happens to my information?
We use it to reach you about your registration and to report the number of children we served. We don't sell it, and we don't share it outside this program.
Not registering?
Three ways to put a toy in a child's hands.
Donate a new toy
New and unwrapped, in the original packaging. Teens are the hardest age to fill — sports gear, art supplies, headphones and gift cards move fastest.
Host a collection box
Offices, churches, salons and gyms make great drop sites. We deliver the box and pick it up when it's full.
Volunteer with distribution
We need sorters, runners and greeters. Families remember the welcome as much as the gift.

Registration takes about five minutes. The earlier you register, the better our odds of matching each child well.
Toy request form
For the parent or guardian. About five minutes. Registration does not guarantee toys.
You're on the list.
A thank-you email is on its way to the address you gave us. Keep it — it's your record that we received your registration.
Being on the list isn't a guarantee of toys; what we can give depends on what's donated. We'll reach out with pickup details when we have them.
