Healing the Whole Person

Mental Health Support at My New House

At My New House, we know that true care reaches beyond the physical. The stress of hunger, housing instability, and financial hardship doesn’t stop at the body — it weighs on the mind and spirit. Anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma are often the unseen companions of poverty, and they can be the very barriers that keep families from moving forward. That’s why mental health support is woven into the heart of our mission. We are committed to caring for the whole person — meeting urgent needs today while nurturing the emotional well-being that makes lasting stability possible.

Compassionate, Trauma-Informed Care

Our mental health program is built on a foundation of dignity, compassion, and evidence-based, trauma-informed care. We meet people where they are, without judgment, and walk alongside them as they navigate life’s hardest seasons.

Ways We Support Mental Wellness

• Trauma-informed guidance and emotional support for individuals and families facing hardship, loss, and life transitions

• Grief and healing support for those carrying profound loss

• Connection to professional counseling and licensed clinical care

• Referrals to trusted community mental health resources and partners

• A safe, judgment-free space to be seen, heard, and supported
